1. Are there any restrictions for .si domain registrations?

There are some reserved domain names and restrictions that apply. Strings of characters can be registered as domain names except for strings of characters that:

• are identical to a registered domain name;
• are reserved for the needs of the Police (113) or the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (112);
• contain characters other than the letters of the standard Roman alphabet (AZ), digits (0-9) and the “-” character (hyphen);
• have a “-” (hyphen) as the first or last character;
• have a “-” (hyphen) in the third and fourth place in the string;
• are shorter than 3 or longer than 63 characters.

2. How long does it take to register a .si domain?

You can order a .si domain anytime! The domain will be registered within 24 hours of receiving the payment.

3. How do I pay?

Payments can be made through the 2CO system which supports the following credit cards: Visa, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, JCB, Diners Club.

4. How do I transfer my existing .si domain to dominio.si?

You can order a domain transfer in the Service Zone - use this direct link to the domain transfer order form.

5. Is privacy protection available?

If a .si domain is registered by a private individual (not a company), only their e-mail address is visible on the whois. This means that privacy protection is included by default for private individuals. When filling out the order for domain registration, leave the company field empty.
